Playoff Game 3 Championship Apollos 7 Red Sox 1
After waiting one month and enduring 6 rainouts the Apollos and Red Sox finally played Championship Game. Alex Dutka pitched 7 innings and only allowed two base runners, both in the Top of the 7th..Alex was helped by several excellent defensive catches by Clifton Siems and Dave Dorner. Clifton Siems pitched the 8th/9th allowing one run and 4 baserunners... Offensively for the Apollos Bob Pfaff lead the way with his towering home run into the Stratford wind, and after another towers shot that ended at the wall, he doubled the other way. Mike Estrada had several hits and Matt Zajac lead one rally with an excellent bunt. The Apollos finish 11-0 and the Red Sox finished 10-3, all three losses coming to the Apollos...
Playoff Game 2 Winners Bracket Championship Apollos 5 Red Sox 1
The Apollos were lead by Matt Zajac who doubled in the bottom of 2nd scoring two. He then scored on Andrew Dunn's single. Sonny Terrazas pitched 4 scoreless innings. The game remained 3-0 until top of 5th when the Red Sox got a well placed double and a single of Clifton Siems to plate a run. Siems would not allow another run in 3 innings despite getting in trouble in the sixth earning his first save. Both Terrazas and Siems were relatively sharp with their offspeed pitches after several months off from throwing. In the bottom of the 6th the Apollos scored two more runs. Josh Kurkstian scored after walking and stealing on Clifton Siems double, Siems scored after stealing third and making it home on a wild pitch. Mike Wilson left the game after his second at bat with labrum problems, he was replaced by Josh Kurkstian. The Apollos played without Mike Estrada, Will Wade and Kevin Hall, Mo Caesar played for the Apollos.

The Apollos got a first round bye in the 6 team post season tournament for having the first seed.
Alex Dutka struck out 10 in 6 innings not allowing but one base runner and 0 walks.. Mike Wilson went 5-5 with 2 doubles and 2 HR's. All 10 Apollos scored a run.
Game 8 Apollos 10 St Thomas 1
Alex Dutka pitched 7 innings allowing 1 earned run and striking out 8, he only walked 1 batter.
Dave Dorner had 5 rbi's including a three run homer. St Thomas held the Apollos to three runs for the first 5 innings before the Apollos broke the game open. The Apollos finish the regular season 8-0 and the first time they have an undefeated season.
Game 7 Apollos 21 Tomahawks 2
The Apollos played this one with 7 guys, every player got at least 6 at bats some got 7..
Alex Dutka pitched 2 innings allowing 2 runs, Clifton Siems pitched 3 innings allowing no runs.
Siems and Terrazs homered,Terrazas had 4 hits and 4 rbis, Andrew Dunn was 5-6 had 7 rbi's with two bases loaded doubles.
Game 6 Apollos 15 Red Sox 1
Sonny Terrazas went 5-5 with 2 home runs and 3 sharp doubles. He also pitched 5 innings for the win. Sonny was knocking the cover off the ball. Mike Wilson and Clifton Siems also had 5 hits and Siems also homered.
Game 5 Apollos 15 Mets 5
The Apollos faced better pitching from the Mets than the entire season so far. Bob Pfaff went 3-4 with 3 rbis and 3 runs and a majestic bomb that almost got into the Schwartz Park Lights. Sonny Terrazas pitched 5 innings allowing 4 earned runs and went 2-3 with 3 rbi's. Will Wade and Clifton Siems also scored three runs. Game 4 Apollos 9 Braves 7
The Apollos took a 6-0 lead in the third inning.
And had the lead until the 5th inning. Dave Dorner allowed three runs in the 5th. Clifton Siems allowed two runs in 6th and JT Thompson allowed two runs in the 7th. Dorner and Dutka allowed no runs through the first 4 innings.
Jeff (the coach at northbrook) had two sharp hits. The first drove in two runs. Sonny Terrazas had two hits and triple. Andrew Dunn was 3-4 with 3 rbi. Clifton Siems stole three bases with two hits.
Game 3 Apollos 15 Tomahawks 4
This was the day for position players to pitch. David Dorner, Clifton Siems, Andrew Dunn each pitched two innings and Will Wade pitched one inning. Siems allowed three runs and Dunn allowed a run the rest threw shutout innings. Offensively the Apollos were lead by Alex Dutka 3-3 3 runs, David Dorner 2-3 with HR and Matt Zajac 2-3 4 rbi and HR. The Tomahawks are an expansion team and will improve in future

The Apollos took a 6-0 lead in this game in the first inning and lead 8-1 going into the 8th when the Braves scored two runs.. After scoring 6 in the first inning the offense really slowed David Dorner tripled and scored two runs with two hits. Will Wade and Andrew Dunn also had two hits.. Sonny Terrazas pitched 5 innings allowing one run. Mike Wilson and Alex Dutka each pitched a scoreless inning, and Clifton Siems allowed two runs in the final inning.
