Railroaders Shut Out Apollos 5-0

June 18 2021 The Cleburne Railroaders defeated the Houston Apollos 5-0 at The Depot at Cleburne Station. Cleburne finished with nine hits and no errors while Houston was held to four hits and committed one error.

Cleburne broke through with three runs in the fourth inning and added two more in the seventh. Nick Vaughan hit a solo home run and drove in two runs. Zach Nehrir went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI while Hunter Clanin collected three hits in four at-bats with an RBI. Josh Nester also drove in a run.

Michael Gunn earned the win for Cleburne after allowing three hits and no runs over 6.2 innings. He struck out four and walked four. A.J. Fishberg and Kevin Chavez completed the shutout with 2.1 scoreless innings combined.

Houston starter Yosmel Naranjo took the loss after giving up three runs two earned on five hits in four innings. Ian Codina added two scoreless innings for the Apollos while Chandler Ingram pitched a scoreless ninth.
