March 18 2020 The Houston Apollos defeated the Salina Stockade 18-2 after breaking open a close game with a 16-run third inning. Houston and Salina each scored twice in the first inning before both teams were held scoreless in the second. The Apollos finished with 18 runs on 12 hits and no errors while Salina had three hits and committed three errors.
Houston’s offense was led by C. Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBI. R. Morosetti also collected two hits and three RBI, while A. Butler went 2-for-4 with two runs. A. Rankin scored three runs, had a hit and two walks, and contributed one RBI. M. Lujan, T. Chilton and J. Summers each scored twice.
Robinson earned the win for Houston, while Dakota Reedy was charged with the loss for Salina. The Apollos scored all 16 of their third-inning runs to turn the game into a rout and complete the 18-2 victory.
