March 15 2020 The Salina Stockade rallied from an early deficit to defeat the Houston Apollos 9-7. Salina scored five runs in the fourth inning to take the lead after Houston had built a 5-2 advantage through three innings. The Stockade added insurance runs in the sixth and seventh innings to finish with 11 hits and 9 runs.
Dan Williams went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run for Salina, while Larry Rodriguez and Mike Klement also collected two hits apiece. Klement drove in two runs, and Jacob Cooley went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Williams and Rodriguez each doubled twice, while Cooley and Nick Ray added doubles.
Nicholas Fay earned the win for Salina after pitching all seven innings. He allowed one hit and seven runs, three earned, while walking five and striking out eight. Houston used Cody Houk, J. Gustafson and Alex Nielson, with Nielson taking the loss and also recording the save designation in the game information. Houston scored twice in the sixth but was held scoreless in the seventh as Salina secured the 9-7 victory.
